There’s no shortage of predictions for the future, but it’s rare that they actually come true. We’ve seen some pretty outlandish predictions, and even a few that have come true. The following are some predictions that are a little more likely to come true, but also some that might sound farfetched.
- Self-Driving Car
Yes, we’re going to get a self-driving car. We’re already seeing self-driving vehicles on the road in the U.S. and around the world. These vehicles are just beginning to get their footing in the world, and in the next few years, we’ll see these vehicles become the norm.
- Touchscreen
In fact, the technology is so good, we may start using our phones to control other electronics. This will also allow us to eliminate a lot of the buttons on our phones and even our tablets.
- Wi-Fi Direct
Wi-Fi Direct is the wireless technology that allows devices to connect without needing an Internet connection. This means that we’ll be able to connect our devices to each other without having to get an Internet connection.
- Smart Home
We’re already seeing smart homes become more popular. You can already buy smart home devices like thermostats, security systems, and even connected lamps. We’ll see even more devices being connected to our homes in the future, so that we can control our homes and appliances from our phones and tablets.
- Virtual Reality
Virtual Reality is already a part of the future, and we’re already seeing virtual reality headsets like the Oculus Rift being sold. We’ll see virtual reality become a more mainstream technology in the next few years, and we’ll see even more devices being designed for virtual reality.
There are many predictions that come true. Some are made with good intentions, and some are made with bad intentions. There are a lot of things that we’re seeing in the future, but we’re only going to see a few of them actually become a reality.
